Started mid 2012 with Dok wanting to start a metal band, which later found guitarists Chor and Pok. Sam the drummer came into the picture by a recommendation from Peter (drummer of a brutal band SAPANAKITH). Then in their search for a vocalist, they asked Sack from CELLS the famous Lao rock band to join. As they started playing cover songs from such bands as METALLICA and SEPULTURA, they eventually found themselves playing several live gigs, which their first live concert was the “Metal Destruction II” concert held in Vientiane LAOS. DICTATOR played their first international show at the "Udonthani Metalfest" (THAILAND). After some time Chor, one of their guitarists asked to leave the band, which left them as a 4 piece. They also played at the "Bangkok Thrash 2014” concert which was headlined by the Australian thrash metal band “HIDDEN INTENT”. A short time after Sack decided to leave the band late 2014, Talo (ex-vocalist of a local rock band CLASHER) was asked to join DICTATOR, which completed their line up. Early 2015, DICTATOR went into the studio to record their first EP which includes 4 tracks and was to be debuted at the “Metal Destruction IV” concert.
